Ms. Alesha Siegel, BS, joins RTI, providing leadership in the fields of quality assurance, safety, and marketing/communications. Her combined scientific, literary, and administrative experience will bolster and enrich our quality standards and drive the promotion of RTI’s continuous expansion of high-caliber services and innovative scientific capabilities.
Brookings, SD – As part of an aggressive multi-pronged strategy to diversify, innovate, and maintain our standing as a leading-edge Animal Health CRO, RTI is pleased to welcome Alesha Siegel, BS, to our team.
Prior to joining RTI in 2020, Alesha obtained a degree in Molecular & Cellular Biology at the University of Arizona, then spent several years working as a scientist in a high-throughput, ISO 17025/9001 and GLP accredited laboratory. During this time, she became proficient in a variety of technologies, including but not limited to PCR, ELISA, electrophoresis, and ICP-OES/ICP-MS. At the same time, she developed a familiarity with the myriad parts which make a quality assurance system function smoothly and effectively by participating in equipment recertification, purchasing, audits, CAPAs, and SOP writing and review.
Relying on her combination of laboratory and QA experience, her responsibilities as Quality Assurance Manager and Safety Officer include conducting internal audits, training new and current employees, SOP management, and assuring the accuracy and integrity of data across all study books and reports, as well as adherence to all applicable quality and safety standards. In addition, Alesha exercises her passion for the written word through development of focused narratives and press releases intended to spotlight her team members and the varied contributions to scientific research and innovation developed here at RTI.
RTI deems superiority in quality assurance one of the key foundational elements of scientific inquiry, particularly in the case of research as a service, where documentation, traceability, and general integrity are prerequisites for confidence in an outcome. Alesha shares this view and has already begun to dig deep into our Quality Management System with the intent of understanding the whole organism, in addition to expanding our quality control measures to exceed regulatory standard requirements.
That said, we are excited to emphasize that Alesha joins us with not only a strong scientific core of skills and experiences, augmented by an attentive and meticulous personality; she also has a fascinating gift for creative writing and communication. It is a rare individual who can blend a highly structured and rule-based approach to scientific writing with inventive story-telling and artistic literary expression. RTI is thrilled to leverage this skillset for our joint needs: yours, in quality, integrity, and peace-of-mind; ours, in marketing, communication, and the constant pursuit of improvement.
As head of Quality Assurance, Alesha will lead and oversee the quality management system which directs our adherence to GLP, GCP, GDocP, ISO 17025, and any additional quality standards which justify your trust in the work we perform. As a specialist in communications, Alesha will be a lynchpin in the writing and storytelling aspect of our marketing and communications strategy, allowing us to share exciting advances in our services and capabilities and to spotlight the unique competencies of the remarkable team we have assembled.
