RTI conducts routine and customized testing across a breadth of sectors and matrices (See Below), with additional areas of microbial challenge testing, shelf life, efficacy, MICs, anaerobic culture, and more.
Within the mycology sector, our services also include yeast and mold counts with identification. The bacteriology group performs work for veterinary, industrial/commercial and food microbiologic endpoints. Methods in practice are FDA-BAM, AOAC, USP, ISO, CMMEF and more.

Pathogen and spoilage organism detection
Assay formats can manage several matrices, with outputs of positive/negative and enumeration (CFU/ml) for the following organisms:
Bacillus cereus Campylobacter sp. Clostridium perfringens Coliforms
Cronobacter sakazakii E. coli E. coli 0157 Enterobacteriaceae
Lactobacillus sp. Listeria sp. Listeria monocytogenes Mold and Yeast
Pseudomonas Salmonella Shigella Staphylococcus aureus
Streptococcus/Enterococcus Sulfite Reducers Total Aerobic Count
Bedding Cultures Bulk Tank Cultures Coliform Counts
Mastitis Cultures Milk Mycoplasma Cultures Sanitation Screen
Standard Plate Counts Staphylococcus aureus Susceptibility Testing
Media Fill Testing incubation and reading Media qualification
Microbial enumeration Microbial IDs Plate incubation
Lactic Acid Bacterial Counts and IDs Yeast Counts
The pre-clinical laboratory group and the diagnostic laboratory group are highly skilled and experienced in detecting, isolating, and identifying both viral and bacterial organisms and pathogens across species and matrices, from nasal, fecal, milk, urine, blood and a host of sample types. Assays are conducted to quality standards no differently than other sectors and routinely meet both ISO 17025, GLP, GCP and other GDocP regulatory guidelines.
These tests are rapid and supportive for both study service support as well as clients in the field, such as veterinarians and producers managing emerging disease in their animals.
Examples of testing and client support we provide are:
Mastitis and udder health testing
Milk Quality and food product testing
Respiratory, urinary, skin, gastrointestinal and other various systems infectious diseases
Bacterial Cultures Fungal Cultures Nematodes
Seed Biologics Shelf Life and Formulation Testing Seed Wash Testing
Aeromonas Heterotrophic Counts Probiotics Pseudomonas
Along with our turn-key services and organism testing, we also have the capability to conduct specialized services, performing analyses on instruments like our Vidas 30 and anaerobic chamber. If you have unique needs, please reach out for a discussion on how we can assist you.
Our specialty projects offer a wealth of options to our clients, including but not limited to:
If you are not sure yet quite how to proceed, we would love to use our years of expertise to help develop an individualized diagnostic strategy that harmonizes with your requirements.
